The end of summer (finally)

by Daniel Gilson on October 11, 2021

We can’t believe the sunny season is over! It feels like only yesterday that we were chatting about setting this business up and now here we are, in full swing and selling boxes of the finest beers this little isle has to offer.
As we storm toward the end of summer, please allow us to indulgently and fondly look back at the month that’s been.

One thing's for sure, it’s been a great month for awkwardly holding boxes whilst standing on ladders – as Dan demonstrates here:

And it’s also been a great month for exploring new beers! Some of the standouts have included:
The Pretty Decent Big Purple. A triple fruited black and blueberry sour - truly the purplest beverage we've ever seen. Instagram eat your heart out. It actually tastes purple too - amazing.

Next is the Hammerton Tank 3 DDH IPA. The latest and we think greatest in the Hammerton Tank IPA range. Double dry-hopped with Simcoe, Victoria Secret and Galaxy, this DDH IPA is full bodied and smouldering with pine and passionfruit – all mixed with a creamy and soft mouthfeel. Yum.

Finally it's the Three Hills Spirit of Nature mixed fermentation Yuzu fruited sour. During brewing a portion of the beer is pulled from the tank & aged in oak barrels, while the tank is topped up with fresh wort, cultures & fruit, creating a continually blended fermentation. This beauty has Yuzu - the creme de la creme of Asian Citrus fruit. Truly an aromatic, zingy & zesty labour of love!

That's all for now - see you next month!
